Summary
The Putnam County Council on Aging is seeking energetic fitness instructors to assist our Head Coaches in teaching the Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) Program. RSB boxing classes are non-contact fitness classes that improves balance, strength, flexibility, mobility and the quality of life for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Diease. Classes meet twice per week and range from 60 to 90 minutes including a warm-up, workout, core exercises, and coool down. This position will be a contracted position working 2 to 10 hours per week, depending on the candidates availability.

To be a Coach, the ideal candidate must have current fitness certification or medical background. No boxing experience necessary, just dedication and a big heart. To be an Assistant Coach, there is no certification required. Coaches can teach a class independenetly, but Assistant Coaches can only provide assistance to the head coaches.
Certification in Rock Steady Boxing methods will be provided through online training and in-person skills check with the Council on Aging Head Coaches. Salary/Benefits:
Salary depends on whether you are a Coach or an Assistant Coach, but the range is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.
