Putnam County EMS was started in 1974 with all volunteer members. There are 7 volunteer squad throughout Putnam County that provides BLS/ALS patient care. In 2014 a levy was placed on the ballot to provide a full time ALS squad. With that a Medic 300 and Unit 301 was established to assist the volunteer squads on calls. Along with the 911 service we also provide transfers from hospital to hospital. Hospitals to nursing homes etc. We also provide an ambulette service to the people of Putnam County for doctors appt.
