We are seeking a skilled Optician/Optometric Technician to join our team for full-time or part-time employment. Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

·         Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and individual needs

·         Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance

·         Take accurate measurements of customers’ eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyewear

·         Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses, including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations

·         Explaining fees and insurance benefits to patients as well as billing vision insurance plans

·         Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed

·         Stay informed about advancements in optical technology and industry trends

·         Computer based electronic medical records

·         Answer phones and schedule appointments
