Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Set-Up CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee/assist machine operators as needed.
- Perform necessary set-ups/tool changes/other machining operations as needed.
- Assist in training personnel on machining codes/safety procedures and company polices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Complete appropriate paperwork.
- Load/unload parts efficiently.
Skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC machines.
- Previous set-up experience.
- Strong skills in using precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues across various departments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
