Global Precision Parts (GPP) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping Manager to join our team in Ottoville, Ohio. This role is critical to the daily success and efficiency of our shipping department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of shipping logistics and ensuring our products are delivered on time, in full, and according to customer-specific requirements. This position will report to Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipment Management: Ensure all outgoing shipments are completed accurately and on schedule every day.
• Staff Supervision: Manage and lead a team of shipping employees, providing guidance and support to meet daily goals.
• Customer Compliance: Ensure all customer-specific requirements are followed meticulously for each shipment.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Production, Quality) to maintain seamless operations and meet production timelines.
• Hands-on Support: Assist in the boxing, palletizing, and preparing shipments for dispatch.
• Logistics Coordination: Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with various carriers.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of finished goods inventory and ensure proper storage locations.
• Truck Deliveries/Pickups: Oversee daily truck deliveries and pickups, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• KPI Achievement: Support plant KPIs and work towards achieving set goals for performance.
• Safety Compliance: Provide a safe and conducive work environment for all team members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping or logistics management in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of shipping processes, inventory management, and logistics.
• Ability to follow detailed customer instructions and industry regulations.
• Bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Sitting and/or standing for 8 hours.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
