POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Client Instruction and Support
- Provide one-on-one and group instruction for clients seeking employment.
- Coordinate the development of job shadowing, internships, and work experience sites.
- Arrange for job coaching assistance at the place of employment as needed.
- Instruct clients on using online support tools such as Ohio Means Jobs (OMJ), resume programs, and job search engines.
- Employer Engagement
- Promote employment services by contacting employers to solicit employment opportunities for workforce development program participants.
- Support employers through the entire employment cycle, including recruitment, assessments, selection, training, promotion, and layoffs/closures.
- Provide necessary labor market information to employers.
- Community Outreach and Professional Development
- Present information to public and civic organizations and interested groups about services.
- Maintain and increase knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings, conferences, training seminars, and in-service training sessions.
