District Technician

Summary

This full-time position is an opportunity to make a direct impact on water quality, soil health, and conservation in Putnam County while working closely with landowners, farmers, and community partners. This employee will help promote, assist, and educate landowners about the best management practices for maintaining clean water, healthy soils, and a sustainable landscape. The District Technician will be creating nutrient management plans, assisting with river maintenance program, conduct group drainage projects, survey and design work on AutoCAD, as well as other related duties as needed to support District programs.

Experience
  • High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, agribusiness, environmental science, engineering, wildlife, or soil biology preferred.
  • Experience in any natural resources, nutrient planning, wildlife habitation, water quality, biology, etc.
  • Working knowledge of agricultural practices and drainage

Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 plus full benefit package including health insurance, paid holidays, vacation/sick time, professional development opportunities and Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS)
