We are currently searching for a Credit Analyst to work onsite at our Operations Center/Corporate Office in Columbus Grove, OH!
Under the direction of the Chief Credit Officer, the Credit Analyst evaluates the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit and renewing LOCs with Union Bank Company for commercial and agricultural purposes. Additionally, the Credit Analyst reviews the financial condition of commercial and agricultural customers.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes financial information and collateral on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, customers, prospects, and other financial institutions.
- Prepares, evaluates, and summarizes the financial analysis on new, renewal, and existing commercial loans including traditional cash flow statements, UCA cash flow statements, collateral analysis reports, rent rolls, and analysis of revolving lines of credit.
- Interacts with customers and lenders in preparation of analysis reports.
- Monitors on-going compliance of existing loans with loan covenants and borrowing bases.
- Assists with loan presentations and assists with the minutes for the Loan Committee, as needed.
- Analyzes financial ratios to determine overall strength of the borrower.
- Identifies strengths and weaknesses of a credit relationship and recommends appropriate loan grade.
- Works with lenders and customers to determine income and expense projections of new and existing projects.
- Recommends and reviews loan structure, loan covenants through analysis and review of collateral values, title work, appraisals, mortgage documents and loan documentation.
- Analyzes current information and helps prepare the reports for the Adversely Classified Rating (ARC) meeting.
- Assists with appraisal reviews.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Organizes the materials and reports for Loan Committee and ARC meetings. Attends meetings and maintains the minutes.
- Keeps abreast of changes in products, policies, and procedures.
- Attends training as needed on a periodic basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists customers (internal and external) with resolution to questions, problems, and issues.
Special requirements for the position:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (preferably with a specialization in Finance or Accounting) or equivalent work experience as a credit analyst or related position in financial institution.
- Prefer 1-2 years’ financial institution experience.
