
Putnam Heritage Assisted Living, in Ottawa, Ohio, is seeking a Dietary Manager. The Dietary Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the dietary department within a healthcare or assisted living facility. This position is responsible for ensuring that all nutritional needs of residents are met through effective meal planning, preparation, and service. The Dietary Manager will lead a team of dietary staff, manage budgets, and conduct patient assessments to create tailored dietary plans that promote health and well-being.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and train dietary staff to ensure compliance with health regulations and dietary standards.
Manage the dietary department’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high-quality food service.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans for residents.
Maintain accurate records of dietary services, including meal counts and inventory management.
Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld in food preparation areas.
Address any resident concerns related to nutrition or meal service promptly and effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience in dietetics or a related field, preferably within an assisted living or healthcare setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
Knowledge of budgeting processes and cost control measures within a dietary department.
Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques and patient assessment protocols.
Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and healthcare staff.
Ability to develop meal plans that accommodate various dietary restrictions and preferences.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation practices.
SALARY:
$17.00 – $20.00 per hour
