Summary

POSITION:   Help Me Grow Home Visitor/Early Childhood Administrative Assistant

a.) Full time- Monday through Friday for 10 months, two days per week during the summer months.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide ongoing home visits to eligible infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families utilizing a planned curriculum.
  2. Assist with office management, such as organizing monthly developmental screening clinics, completing enrollment forms and required data for preschool programs.
  3. Assist with intake and referral process of infants, toddlers and preschoolers into the Help Me Grow program and the Educational Service Center preschool programs entry.
  4. Assist with parental involvement, outreach and public awareness activities.
  5. Assist with reporting required data to appropriate Ohio departments.
  6. Greet parents and maintain a positive attitude and communication with parents, students, team mates and the public.
  7. Attend all required relevant trainings ie. (Child Development, Home Observation, Postnatal Depression) within the required timelines.

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:           

  • Individual who has completed at a minimum a two-year degree related to early childhood, social work, or related field with a minimum of one year experience working with pregnant women, infants, or toddlers, preschoolers;
  • Applicant should have an extensive knowledge of the Putnam County community;
  • Ability to communicate with the public and have a working knowledge of a variety of technology related tasks such as office management;
  • Applicant should have knowledge of early childhood development, time management, organizational skills and be willing to take additional trainings required by the position.
Salary/Benefits

HOURS OF WORK:           

8:00 to 4:00 Monday-Friday (minimum work day of 7 hours exclusive of lunch)

CONTRACT:

10 Month Contract Employment Period, following school calendar with two days per week required during the summer months to continue home visiting program duties.
