Job Summary:
The Barista / Kitchen Staff position is a dual-role, requiring a dynamic individual to expertly handle both front-of-house and back-of-house tasks. In this role, you will prepare high-quality coffee and food, engage with customers, and ensure smooth and clean operations. This position is perfect for someone who loves variety and thrives in a busy, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service and Point of Sale (POS) Operations
- Greet every customer warmly and provide a friendly and welcoming experience.
- Take customer orders accurately and process transactions using the POS system.
- Promote and educate customers on our seasonal specials and extensive menu, including specialty drinks, deli items, and beer and wine selections.
- Barista Duties
- Craft a wide range of coffee and espresso drinks, as well as smoothies and other beverages, following company recipes and standards.
- Operate and maintain all coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines and grinders.
- Kitchen and Deli Preparation
- Prepare and cook food items to order, including panini-grilled sandwiches, salads, breakfast burritos, and baked goods.
- Perform food prep tasks, such as slicing deli meats and cheeses, chopping vegetables, and assembling ingredients for catering platters.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality and consistency standards.
- Operational Excellence
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including restocking displays, cleaning work areas, and managing inventory.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient service, especially during peak hours.
