POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Client Instruction and Support
  • Provide one-on-one and group instruction for clients seeking employment.
  • Coordinate the development of job shadowing, internships, and work experience sites.
  • Arrange for job coaching assistance at the place of employment as needed.
  • Instruct clients on using online support tools such as Ohio Means Jobs (OMJ), resume programs, and job search engines.
• Employer Engagement
  • Promote employment services by contacting employers to solicit employment opportunities for workforce development program participants.
  • Support employers through the entire employment cycle, including recruitment, assessments, selection, training, promotion, and layoffs/closures.
  • Provide necessary labor market information to employers.
• Community Outreach and Professional Development
  • Present information to public and civic organizations and interested groups about services.
  • Maintain and increase knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings, conferences, training seminars, and in-service training sessions.
