Ward Construction Company is looking for a project manager to join our family owned and operated heavy highway construction company. Ward Construction Co. is based in Leipsic Ohio and specialized in asphalt paving and milling, chip seal, and concrete/site work. All work is done out of our office in Leipsic with projects throughout northwest Ohio.
Responsibilities
-Schedule and attend preconstruction meetings.
-Plan daily construction operations for crews.
-Develop and maintain project schedules ensuring deadlines are met.
-Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality control.
-Prepare subcontractor agreements and coordinate/schedule sub contractors.
-Work with foreman to schedule trucking and material needs.
-Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate project status, and address concerns.
-Assist foreman in tracking field quantities and review pay applications/invoices.
-Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
-Opportunity for an expanded role helping to bid construction projects.

Qualifications
-Bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, or relevant experience in heavy highway construction is preferred.
-Relevant experience managing construction projects is preferred but not mandatory.
-Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
-Good interpersonal and written communication skills
-Self-directed individual with good problem solving ability.
