Educational Aide/Paraprofessional Position – Cross Categorical Unit
Summary
Responsibilities:
Monitor and assist student(s) as needed in classroom routines
Assist teacher with implementation of student individual education plan(s)
Assists student(s) with mobility, physical, and clothing needs such as positioning, feeding, toileting, diapering, and getting on and off transportation vehicles as needed
Work with student(s) both individually and in small groups to promote learning and skills initially introduced by the teacher
Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher regarding student progress, behavior or individual needs
Work as a collaborative team member
Create a positive and safe learning environment for all students and hold students accountable for conduct
Work with others in the school community to support each student’s emotional well-being
Deadline: July 31st, 2026, or until filled
Anticipated Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year
Experience
Qualifications:
Hold or Willing to Obtain an Ohio Educational Aide Permit
