Elementary Principal for Ottoville School

Summary

Ottoville Local School District is seeking a dedicated and skilled educational leader to serve as Principal for our K-5 Elementary School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving student achievement, providing strong leadership, and managing special education services for students.  This individual will be effective communicator, a collaborative team player, and possess excellent organizational and leadership skills to ensure that all students receive the highest level of education and support.

 

Experience

Qualifications:

  • Educational Leadership: Proven experience as an effective educational leader, with a focus on improving student achievement and fostering a positive school culture. Experience in elementary education (Grades K-5) preferred.
  • Special Education Knowledge: Strong understanding of special education services, laws, and best practices for student with disabilities.  Experience working with students with diverse needs and ensuring compliance with IEPs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.  Ability to build strong relationships and foster trust with all stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and oversee complex school operations efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions to improve student outcomes. Strong decision-making skills that are informed by research and best practices.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: A collaborative leadership style, with a focus on working together with faculty, staff, parents, and community partners to ensure the success of all students.

Certifications:  Must hold a valid Ohio Principal License and meet other qualifications as required by the Department of Education and Workforce
