Position Overview:
Kalida Local Schools is seeking a qualified and passionate High School Spanish Teacher to join our
dedicated team of educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering
engaging and effective instruction in Spanish I, II, III, and IV. The ideal candidate will foster a
positive classroom environment that supports the district’s mission of academic excellence,
student growth, and well-being.

Qualifications:
● Valid Ohio Teaching License in Spanish (Grades 7–12)
● Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or related field.
● Strong content knowledge and ability to incorporate authentic cultural and linguistic
experiences
● Ability to differentiate instruction and engage a wide range of learners
● Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
● Experience with or willingness to incorporate technology, blended learning, and interactive
instructional strategies
● Willingness to contribute to school initiatives, extracurriculars, and student development

Responsibilities:
● Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards for World
Languages
● Create a classroom environment that encourages participation, creativity, and cultural
appreciation
● Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative measures
● Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding student progress
● Collaborate with colleagues and participate in building and district-level teams
● Uphold the values of Kalida Local Schools and contribute positively to school culture

Salary & Benefits:
Based on the negotiated agreement between the Kalida Education Association and the Kalida
Local School District Board of Education
