Intervention Specialist (Behavioral & Emotional Support) –Grades 8-12

Summary

This position serves a small, supportive classroom of approximately 6–8 students from across our nine county districts. Instruction is delivered primarily through an online platform (APEX), allowing for individualized pacing and targeted academic support. The classroom is designed to provide a structured, relationship-focused environment where students receive both academic instruction and social-emotional support. A full-time social worker is embedded within the program to support students’ behavioral and emotional needs, ensuring a collaborative, team-based approach to student success. In addition, there is a focus on developing students’ soft skills and work-readiness skills to support success beyond the classroom.

LOCATION

  • Classroom will be housed at Putnam County ESC

CONTRACT

  • 9 Month Contract (185 days)

DEADLINE

  • May 15, 2026, or until filled
Experience
  • Hold an Ohio Intervention Specialist License in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe
  • Meet qualifications as defined in the Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities and the Putnam County Educational Service Center
