Position Overview
Vital Infusion & Med Spa, LLC is seeking a qualified and licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as the Responsible Person on the company’s Terminal Distributor of Dangerous Drugs (TDDD) license, in compliance with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy regulations.
This role involves ensuring the lawful possession, storage, handling, and administration of prescription medications used in our IV infusion therapy and medical spa services.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Responsible Person for the facility’s TDDD license, maintaining compliance with Ohio Administrative Code 4729:5.
- Ensure all dangerous drugs and prescription medications are stored, labeled, and dispensed in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Oversee medication ordering, inventory control, and disposal processes.
- Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for the handling of prescription drugs.
- Ensure all personnel involved in drug handling are properly trained and compliant.
- Work collaboratively with ownership, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Review and approve protocols for IV infusions, injections, and aesthetic procedures involving prescription medications.
- Act as the primary contact for the Ohio Board of Pharmacy regarding inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
- Report any drug discrepancies, losses, or compliance issues as required by law.
Qualifications
- Active Ohio license as a Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in good standing.
- Must meet Ohio Board of Pharmacy requirements to serve as a Responsible Person for a TDDD license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient, infusion, or aesthetic/medical spa setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of medication management, controlled substance regulations, and clinical best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing dangerous drugs.
