Social Services Caseworker

Summary

Social Services Caseworker

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and self-motivated Social Services Caseworker to join our team in serving Putnam County residents, age 60 and better. We will consider candidates looking for a part-time or full-time position.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing clients’ needs
  • Connecting individuals and families with community resources
  • Assisting clients with completing applications for assistance
  • Providing advocacy and support
  • Maintaining accurate documentation
  • Collaborating with other professionals
  • Coordinating and attending outreach events.
  • And more.
Experience

Qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 or 4- year degree in Human Services field (social work, psychology, sociology, or related field).
  • Experience in social services or case management is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Familiarity with community resources and social service systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
