DESCRIPTION

Primary role is to provide counseling services to students identified with Emotional Disturbance (ED) in grades K-12.

LOCATION

Primary Assignment is ESC Annex Building serving ED students from Putnam County Schools.

Tentative:  Possible travel to one additional Putnam County Public School.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individual and/or group counseling and consultation with ED population.
• Assist with transitioning of ED students.
• Consult with parents and staff concerning attendance, achievement, additional referrals, or other issues.
• Assist in preparing and providing direct and indirect services to support students’ IEP plans, Support transition for students.
• Participate as member of county-wide safety and crisis team.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Complete assessments/screenings for mental health concerns (e.g. depression).
• Keep accurate documentation, uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures, and other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
