Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Team Member reports to their area Supervisor or Team Leader and is responsible for producing quality welds and working with fixturing in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a safe working environment including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and compliance with all safety rules and established procedures.
  • ï‚· Follow requirements as called out on part and weld prints.
  • ï‚· Prepare parts / components for welding, including edge prep, preheating, and cleaning.
  • ï‚· Understand and follow established welding procedures.
  • ï‚· Understand operation and adjustments of various power sources and wire feeders.
  • ï‚· Tack welded components using existing fixtures.
  • ï‚· Build, repair, or modify fixtures for welded components as required.
  • ï‚· Perform inspections as required.
  • ï‚· Perform minor maintenance and replace consumables as required.
  • ï‚· Work with other team members and team leaders to maintain constant workflow.
  • ï‚· Work with 5S management team and other team members to develop, implement & maintain 5S process as needed.
  • ï‚· Provide a positive work environment and encourage team member communication.
  • ï‚· Any other duties as assigned
Experience

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Welding Equipment & Processes.
  • Ability to pass an AWS D1.1, D1.3 & D1.4 weld certification test.
  • Knowledgeable of gages, hand tools or any other applicable equipment.
  • Must be able to stand on concrete floor for the duration of work shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and use arms and hands
